Born in Paris and raised in Tokyo, Naoki Sutter-Shudo is a Los Angeles-based artist and co-founder of the project space Bel Ami. His practice involves meticulously crafted wooden objects and photography, exploring linguistic slippages and the tensions between East and West, nature and artifice.
