Sandy Lee (d. 2020) was an artist who emigrated from South Africa to Southern California in 1975. Her work often blended her African and Jewish heritage, incorporating textures, found objects, jewelry, and natural materials into assemblages and wall hangings. She was trained at the Brentwood Art Center and was known for a diverse language of form and color reflecting cultural memory.
