Deborah F. Blum is a German-born artist and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. The granddaughter of Universal Studios founder Carl Laemmle, she studied fine art, history, and film theory at Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design, and UCLA. She is the founder of the 7811 Art Gallery and is known for complex oil paintings and assemblages that draw inspiration from nature, travel, and her family history.
