Painting and Scenography
Rodolfo Aricò was an Italian artist who was a key figure in post-war Milanese abstraction. He is best known for his 'shaped canvases,' which integrated architectural and geometric principles into the pictorial surface to explore the relationship between color, light, and three-dimensional space. Aricò was a frequent participant in the Venice Biennale, with notable solo rooms in 1964 and 1968, and he served as a professor of Scenography at the Brera Academy.
