Painting and Sculpture
Audrey Flack (1931–2024) was a pioneering American artist who was central to the development of the Photorealism movement. She was the first photorealist painter to have her work acquired by the Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection. Her diverse career evolved from Abstract Expressionism to highly detailed still-life paintings and later to monumental public sculptures focusing on female deities and mythological figures.
