Cheyenne Julien is a painter and draftsperson born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Her work explores the intersections of the human body and built environments, often addressing themes of cultural memory, environmental racism, and racial perception through portraits and urban scenes. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in 2016. Her work is included in several permanent museum collections, such as the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Hirshhorn Museum.
