Shala Miller is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn who also performs as a singer under the name Freddie June. Her work frequently meditates on the Black body as a site of history, desire, and vulnerability, often drawing from her personal medical history and experiences with chronic illness. Miller has been featured in exhibitions at venues such as Lyles & King and the International Center of Photography.
