Natalie Baxter was born in Lexington, Kentucky, and is based in New York. She earned her MFA from the University of Kentucky and her BA from the University of the South. Known for her soft sculptures and quilted hangings, she creates approachable work that addresses controversial social and political issues, such as gun control and gender stereotypes.
