Kim Dacres is a Harlem-based sculptor of Jamaican descent who specializes in using reclaimed auto and bicycle tires to build portrait busts and reliefs. Her work transforms discarded materials into powerful monuments that explore Black, queer, and feminine identity. Dacres holds an MS from Lehman College and a BA from Williams College.
