Lily Stockman is a Los Angeles-based painter who creates abstract oil-on-linen works characterized by biomorphic shapes, planes, and borders. Her practice is heavily influenced by her studies of botany, geometry, and structure, as well as her apprenticeships in Buddhist thangka painting in Mongolia and Mughal miniature painting in India. She holds an MFA from New York University and a BA from Harvard University.
