Andrea Belag is a New York-based abstract painter recognized for her use of translucent color and performative, sweeping brushstrokes. Her work often explores the intersection of nature, light, and materiality. She served as a faculty member at the School of Visual Arts for over two decades and was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1999.
