Terry Fox was a pioneer of conceptual and body art, deeply involved in the West Coast movements of the late 1960s and 1970s. His work often explored physical endurance, ritual, and the sculptural properties of sound. He is well-known for his sound installations involving long piano wires and his 1974 series Children's Tapes, which investigated the phenomenological properties of video.
