DESCRIPTION

Ralston Farina, born Steven Robert Snyder, was a seminal figure in the 1970s downtown New York performance scene. He developed the concept of 'Time // Time,' a philosophy that treated time as his primary medium. Influenced by John Cage and Ernie Kovacs, Farina utilized magic techniques and systemized diagrams to create ephemeral, audience-responsive performances that he intentionally resisted documenting.
