Born in Strumica, Republic of Macedonia, Robert Dandarov is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work is characterized by a "noir" sensibility and a focus on mythology, symbolism, and art history. His paintings often feature grotesque or satirical elements, reflecting his Byzantine heritage and studies of Flemish traditions. He attended the National Academy of Design and has exhibited widely across Europe and the United States.
