Pamela S. Cardwell is a painter whose abstract works are deeply influenced by her upbringing in West Virginia and her background as a swimmer. Her creative process is kinesthetic, emphasizing the rhythm and movement of the body in relation to the paint. She received her MFA from the University of Pennsylvania and has been awarded prestigious residencies at Yaddo and the Joan Mitchell Foundation, as well as a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant.
