Interdisciplinary (Painting, Drawing, Sculpture)
Torkwase Dyson is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice explores the continuity between ecology, architecture, and Black spatial liberation. Her work is informed by her theory of "Black Compositional Thought," investigating how bodies perceive and negotiate systems of spatial order. She earned her MFA from Yale School of Art and has been featured in major exhibitions such as the Whitney Biennial and the Sharjah Biennale.
