David Klamen is an American painter and academic whose work investigates epistemology and the processes of human interpretation. He is known for visually diverse bodies of work, ranging from academic realism to geometric abstraction, often utilizing dark, highly varnished surfaces. Klamen is a professor and the Founding Dean of the School of the Arts at Indiana University Northwest.
