Ewan Gibbs is a British artist recognized for his meticulously rendered pointillist drawings of urban landmarks and architecture. He developed a unique visual shorthand based on knitting patterns, using repetitive marks on a grid to translate photographs into tonal drawings. He received his BFA from Goldsmiths College in 1996 and his work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Tate.
