Carmen Winant is an American writer and visual artist who recontextualizes archival imagery into large-scale photographic assemblages and collages. Her work explores themes of feminist care, reproductive agency, and collective resistance. She holds the Roy Lichtenstein Chair of Studio Art at Ohio State University and was a 2019 Guggenheim Fellow in photography. Her acclaimed artist books include 'My Birth' (2018) and 'The Last Safe Abortion' (2024).
