Gregg Bordowitz is an artist, writer, and activist whose work has been instrumental in the cultural response to the AIDS crisis. A former member of ACT UP and a co-founder of video collectives like DIVA TV, his practice spans documentary film, performance, and poetry. He has served as the director of the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program and taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
