Audrey Yang is a Chinese-American interdisciplinary artist and educator originally from Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Her practice often involves the use of 'throwaway' materials like snack wrappers and dryer lint, which she transforms through repeated acts of sewing, folding, and reassembling. She is an alumna of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and her work examines concepts of sanctuary, self-acceptance, and the potential beyond language.
