Amani Lewis is a Baltimore-based artist whose work centers on vibrant, large-scale portraiture that uplifts and archives their community. Utilizing a multi-step process that combines photography, digital manipulation, and hand-applied layers of paint, glitter, and textiles, Lewis creates works that challenge traditional narratives of power. They are a co-founder of the C’LRD collective and often donate a portion of sales proceeds directly to the subjects of their paintings.
