Alec Egan

DESCRIPTION

Alec Egan is a painter based in Los Angeles who is known for his thick, impasto-laden oil paintings of domestic interiors and still lifes. His work often features recurring motifs such as socks, flowers, and patterned wallpapers, creating a sense of psychological weight and nostalgic domesticity. Egan's practice frequently involves multi-exhibition cycles that explore different rooms of a singular, imagined house, reflecting his interest in narrative and the absence of the human figure.
