Christopher Knowles is an American artist and poet based in Brooklyn. He is best known for his 'typings'—intricate patterns and poems created with a typewriter—and for his influential early collaboration with Robert Wilson on the avant-garde opera 'Einstein on the Beach.' His work is held in major collections including the MoMA.
