Mohammed Alani is an Iraqi-born artist based in Brussels. He studied at the Institute of Fine Arts in Baghdad before moving to Belgium in 1997, where he later graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Saint-Gilles. Alani's practice involves the arrangement and manipulation of found objects, repurposing discarded items into surrealist assemblages that engage with history and memory.
