Adel Abdessemed is an Algerian-French contemporary artist whose work explores themes of violence, religion, and globalization through media such as sculpture, video, and drawing. Born in Constantine, Algeria, he moved to France in 1994 to escape political unrest and has since gained international recognition for his intense and symbolic imagery.
