Katharina Fritsch is a German sculptor known for her large-scale, monochromatic sculptures of everyday objects, animals, and religious icons. Her work often employs saturated colors and precise fabrication to explore folklore, memory, and the uncanny. She represented Germany at the 1995 Venice Biennale and received the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement at the 2022 Venice Biennale.
