Otto Hans Abt was a Swiss painter born in Binningen. He was a founding member of the anti-fascist artists' association 'Gruppe 33' in Basel. His work was heavily influenced by Surrealism and the New Objectivity movement after study trips to Paris where he encountered the works of Picasso and Dalí.
