Harold Ancart is a Belgian contemporary artist known for his large-scale, semi-abstract paintings and sculptural installations. Born in Brussels in 1980, he received his MFA from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Visuels de la Cambre in 2007. His work often investigates themes of landscape, using recurring motifs such as horizons, trees, and icebergs as an 'alibi' for experimentation with color and form. Based in New York, Ancart has exhibited at major institutions globally, including the Menil Collection and the Public Art Fund.
