Conceptual art
Marcel Duchamp was a French-American artist who fundamentally shifted the course of 20th-century art through his association with Dada and conceptualism. He is most famous for his 'readymades'—ordinary objects designated as art—most notably the urinal titled 'Fountain', which challenged the traditional boundaries of artistic creation.
