DESCRIPTION
Paul Purgas is an artist and musician based at Somerset House Studios in London. Originally trained as an architect, his research-led practice explores the intersections of design, technology, and architectural acoustics, with a particular focus on the history of electronic music and modernism in South Asia. He is one-half of the electronic duo Emptyset and has produced documentaries for BBC Radio 3 on India's early electronic music scene.
