DESCRIPTION

Tai Shani is a London-based artist and co-winner of the 2019 Turner Prize. Her practice involves creating expansive, mythic universes that combine sculptural installations, film, and performance, often inspired by experimental texts and proto-feminist literature such as Christine de Pizan's 'The Book of the City of Ladies'. She is widely recognized for her long-term project 'DC: Semiramis', which explores feminine subjectivity and post-patriarchal worlds.
