Painting and Printmaking
An English painter and printmaker known for his bold, graphic style that often featured everyday subjects depicted with thick black outlines and flat areas of color. While his work is frequently associated with Pop Art, Caulfield preferred to describe himself as a 'formal' artist. He was elected to the Royal Academy in 1993 and received a CBE in 1996.
