Born in Sylhet, Bangladesh, Rana Begum moved to the United Kingdom in 1983. Her work is known for its minimalist abstraction and focuses on the interplay between light, color, and geometric form. Drawing inspiration from urban architecture and traditional Islamic art, she creates works that range from small-scale wall reliefs to large public installations.
