DESCRIPTION

Phyllida Barlow was a highly influential British sculptor celebrated for her massive installations created from humble, industrial materials such as plywood, cardboard, plaster, and cement. Her anti-monumental works often disrupt the viewer's experience of physical space. Barlow also had a distinguished 40-year teaching career at the Slade School of Fine Art and represented Great Britain at the 2017 Venice Biennale.
