Andrew Heard was a British visual artist associated with the East London art scene of the 1980s. A protégé of Gilbert & George, his work often featured bold, pop-inflected imagery and dealt with themes of queer identity, masculinity, and later, his personal experience with the HIV/AIDS crisis.
