Takahiro Kondo is a Kyoto-based artist from a family of traditional sometsuke (blue-and-white) porcelain makers. He is famous for his patented 'silver mist' (gintekisai) glaze, which creates a beaded metallic effect on the ceramic surface. His contemporary sculptures often explore the properties of water and environmental issues.
