Ceramics
Elizabeth Fritsch is a significant figure in the British 'New Ceramics' movement. Originally trained as a musician (harp and piano), she turned to ceramics at the Royal College of Art under Hans Coper. Her hand-built stoneware vessels are known for their geometric profiles and matte, painted slip decorations that play with optical illusions and perspective.
