Maryam Tafakory is an Iranian-British artist-filmmaker whose work interweaves poetry, documentary, and archival material into textual and filmic collages. Her practice often researches historical gaps, censorship, and social norms in post-revolution Iranian cinema. She was a fellow at the Institute for Ideas & Imagination in Paris and has received several major film awards including the Gold Hugo at the Chicago International Film Festival.
