Richard Learoyd is a British contemporary photographer known for his large-scale, unique color portraits and landscapes. He utilizes a massive, custom-built camera obscura to create direct-positive prints on Ilfochrome paper. His work is characterized by a distinctive lack of grain and a very shallow depth of field, resulting in images with a physical, almost three-dimensional presence.
