Bill Armstrong is a New York-based fine art photographer born in Concord, Massachusetts. He is widely known for his 'Infinity' series, begun in 1997, in which he creates semi-abstract images by photographing painted and collaged found materials with his camera lens set to infinity. This process produces extremely out-of-focus, lush color fields that explore the boundaries of visual perception and the meditative quality of pure color. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Vatican Museums and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
