Pati Baztán is a Spanish artist and architect based near Barcelona. She studied architecture and fine arts in Barcelona, Paris, and Serbia. Her practice is rooted in abstract expressionism and a deep connection to nature. She developed a unique pictorial technique known as 'Earth skin,' which utilizes natural pigments on untreated cotton canvas to create visceral, textured compositions that emphasize the contrast between material density and silence.
