Noria Mabasa is a self-taught Venda artist from the Limpopo province of South Africa. She is famous for being the first Venda woman to work in wood, a medium traditionally reserved for men. Her sculptures in both wood and clay are inspired by traditional legends, social issues, and ancestral dreams.
