Niki de Saint Phalle was a French-American artist known for her monumental and colorful sculptures, such as the Nanas and the Tarot Garden in Italy. She was a key figure in the Nouveaux Réalistes movement and gained international prominence for her shooting paintings (Tirs), created by firing a rifle at plaster-covered assemblages.
