Claes Oldenburg was a Swedish-born American sculptor associated with the Pop Art movement. He is famous for his large-scale public installations of everyday objects, such as the Spoonbridge and Cherry, and his soft sculptures of items like typewriters and hamburgers. He frequently collaborated with his wife, Coosje van Bruggen.
