Textile design, concrete art, painting
Anna Andreeva was a significant figure in Soviet textile design and concrete art. She worked for the Red Rose Silk Factory in Moscow for many decades, where she developed complex geometric patterns. She was a member of the Union of Artists and participated in the seminal 1962 exhibition '30 Years of the Moscow Union of Artists' at the Manege, which was famously criticized by Khrushchev. Her work bridged the gap between industrial design and the geometric abstraction of the avant-garde.
