DESCRIPTION
Tiffany Sia is an artist, filmmaker, and writer whose work investigates the politics of place, archives, and the 'spectral' nature of images. Born in Hong Kong and based in New York, she explores the geopolitical landscape of her birthplace through a lens of media history and personal memory. She is the founder of the residency project Speculative Place and the author of several books, including 'Too Salty Too Wet,' which critiques the visual representation of Hong Kong.
