Alina Kunitsyna is a Belarusian-born painter living and working in Vienna and Carinthia. Her work is characterized by a focused investigation of drapery and folds, which she uses as metaphors for presence, absence, and transience. Her practice is informed by her studies of Renaissance still life and the writings of philosophers such as Pavel Florensky. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in 2007.
