Born in Hamburg, Claudia Ginocchio trained as a children's book illustrator before studying painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. Since 1991, she has lived and worked in Zurich. Her work often incorporates 'visual writing,' where text and painting interact to create poetic, layered compositions.
