Painting, mixed media, upholstered canvases
Cesare Tacchi was a leading figure in the Italian Pop Art movement known as the Scuola di Piazza del Popolo in Rome. He is best known for his 'upholstered paintings' (quadri imbottiti), which utilized padded fabrics and textiles to create three-dimensional, relief-like effects on the canvas, often depicting everyday scenes or human figures.
